The Orochi Saga, also called Orochi Bow or First Bow, is the set games focused on the first plot of The King of Fighters franchise.

The first game, The King of Fighters '94, was released on August 25, 1994. But the Orochi concept was only really introduced in The King of Fighters '95, released on July 25, 1995.

All games in the saga have the name "The King of Fighters" followed by a year ('94, '95, etc.). Featuring four games telling the story of the saga and the fifth, The King of Fighters '98, as an end-of-arc Dream Match.

Story[]

Passing after the events of Fatal Fury the story begins with the first tournament in the series where the big threat is host Rugal Bernstein. After his defeat by Kyo Kusanagi's team, Rugal returns with a new power but ends up being consumed by it, this power proves to be a portion of Orochi, a powerful entity who wishes to return to the world to extinguish humans and take revenge on those who sealed him in the past and for that his servants: the Hakkesshu will of everything to bring their master back.

Kyo Kusanagi and his rival Iori Yagami will have to embrace their fate to stop Orochi and the Hakkesshu.
